IGN Music: You just brought up an interesting thing, about being hungry for the music. So what's the secret? Prodigy: Like I said, just our love for the music, you know what I mean? We're always hungry for this music, you know what I mean? And our love for each other, you know what I'm sayin'? We're like brothers. You know what I'm sayin'? We didn't have to comeback because we ain't never gone anywhere. IGN Music: I mean you had that one period where you broke out and did a solo album, HNIC, in 2000… Prodigy: Yeah, but we never went nowhere. IGN Music: What do you attribute that longevity to? I mean how have you and Havoc managed to stay so tight for so long? Prodigy: Our love for the music our love for each other, you know what I mean? IGN Music: As simple as that? Prodigy: Yup. Hands down, you guys are the longest, still-in-action rap duo around. IGN Music: That's because none of those other "duos" are still around. Prodigy: Naw, you can't compare anybody to us. I even came up with Twin Hype, Kriss Kross, and Kid N' Play, but those groups are long gone. Everybody else I came up with-Run DMC and Third Bass and Gangstarr and EPMD-they're all really trios since their DJs are just as integral to the group as the MCs. I mean you and Havoc are a pure duo, just the two of you on the mic. I tried to think of all the other famous duos in rap who have been kicking around as long as you and I really couldn't come up with anybody. Spence D., Editor-In-Chief, IGN Music: I spent the other night diggin' through my crates and found all of your albums going back to Juvenile Hell… Prodigy: I-ight! Good lookin', yo! IGN Music: and while I was checking them all out I came to the realization that you and Havoc may actually be the longest running duo in rap history.
